A few years back, I was pumping gasoline, cleaning windshields, and checking the oil at our family-owned Service Station. Our Service Station soon became a thing of the past, and we began selling, repairing, and servicing light trucks and cars. The years flew by as computer systems began making their mark on your daily transportation. As an Automobile Technician, I found myself at training classes to keep up.
Of course, the standard 5w30 oil service was changing too. The GM line began calling for the "Dexos" rated oil. We found ourselves going to the GM Dealer for oil. Not very profitable! Amsoil Lubricants had helped me cool my 2009 Kawasaki 1700cc Vulcan Nomad, so I checked Amsoil for the "Dexos" rated oil. Sure enough, the Amsoil line not only had the Dexos oil, but I could also offer extended oil changes to my commercial accounts. Problem solved!
I signed up as a Preferred Customer with Amsoil through my Independent Amsoil Dealer sponsor, Bruce. I quizzed Bruce about becoming an Amsoil Retail outlet for better pricing and more traffic opportunity for our now Auto Care Center. He agreed it would be a solid move. He was right. Less than a year later, I could see how the Amsoil name was well known, sought after, and brought more traffic through our front door. {Not to mention it was almost too easy to upgrade our regular customers to Amsoil - I matched the correct grade of Amsoil to their need, saving them money and time}.
We quickly became qualified as an Amsoil retail outlet through Amsoil, and another Amsoil Independent Dealer/Sponsor Michael, added us to his Amsoil Locator. We now had "Two Amsoil Locators" for our five-bay shop at no additional cost! The writing was on the wall as I became an Independent Amsoil Dealer. I quickly became qualified to have an Amsoil display at trade shows.
