When we see an amber "Tire Pressure light" come on, my first thought are, "Nuts!" Fortunately, if a tire drops three pounds or more below the desired inflation marked on the doorpost, the light comes. We need to check the tire pressure very soon, including the spare on many vehicles. Fortunately, radial tires do not go flat instantly when punctured. Obviously, when an air leak is located, it will need repairing.
The tire pressure system will not require calibration but usually needs to be driven to turn the light out.
The other possibility is that the tire pressure sensor battery has failed. The sensor must be replaced and calibrated to your car's system. Note: It is not necessarily time to replace all four or five sensors at this time.
Also, note that spring and fall are typical times for the T.P.S. light to come on due to temperature changes.A simple check of tire infation will resove the issue.
